spouse has POA, husband in Indonesia...would you do?

Would anybody touch this? Would you run? Would you ask for what?

What kind of deals would you do with this situation?

What kind would you not do?

I am on a mission to trim time here and there...

Craig,

I agree with David. Send a copy of the POA to the Title Co. to see if they give you the ok so the wife can sign whatever she needs to on her husbands behaf.

let the title co work out how to get it closed. Just dont spend any money until they get it worked out. There could be other options than the POA. Not your job. Your job to sign it up. Wouldnt it be sad if they signed up to sell it to another investor while you worried about this?

Thanks for the replies.

It didn't feel comfortable.  The reason I didn't sign it up, was because I didn't have the POA and since I had ckecked the courthouse the names didn't match.

I went back and got the POA, but the uncomfortableness increased...the story changed somewhat, and was no longer a deal.
